About StudioCue

StudioCue — sometimes written Studio Cue — is software for photography studios. It runs every wedding and event from the first inquiry to the final gallery, and drafts each next step for the studio to approve.

What it does

A wedding is booked a year out and takes a hundred small steps to get to. StudioCue prepares each one — the reply, the proposal, the agreement, the payments, the run of show, the crew offer, the gallery — and waits for the studio's yes.

  • Inquiries, proposals and agreements signed online
  • Invoices and payments through QuickBooks
  • Planning forms, the run of show and readiness
  • Crew offers, day sheets and closeout
  • Gallery delivery, review asks and album reminders

Who it's for

Wedding photographers first, and the studios around them: family and portrait sessions, corporate events and sports. Couples and crew get their own app in the studio's name, on any phone, with nothing to download.

  • Photography studios and their teams
  • Their clients, through a portal in the studio's name
  • Their second shooters and assistants

How it was built

Alongside a working wedding studio, and shaped by how real weddings run — the story is below. The rule it was built on: StudioCue does the preparing, the studio does the deciding.

  • Cue, the assistant inside StudioCue, prepares; the studio approves
  • It never records a payment, a signature or a permission on its own
  • StudioCue never takes a cut of client payments

Gabriel RhodesGR Productions, Madison, New Jersey

Built around how one studio runs its weddings.

GR Productions is a wedding photography studio in Madison, New Jersey. StudioCue was built around the way it works: its inquiry form, its run-of-show rules, its night-before checklist. Its own wedding forms ship in StudioCue as recommended templates.

Before StudioCue, GR ran each wedding across eight separate tools: about 5–6 hours of mechanical admin per couple, and 1–2 hours staffing each event, by Gabriel’s own estimate.
